Our first Uptown Jazz Showcase was a success!

We are glad we were able to kick off this event with a bang!

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) - An Albuquerque restaurant helped out pets in need Sunday with taco and beer sales.  B2B2 Barrio in Uptown donated 25% of the day's proceeds to Watermelon Mountain Ranch, the state's largest no-kill animal shelter. The event also served as a special adopt-a-thon, matching owners with their perfect pet.

"Rescue pets really are the best kind of pet because they are so thankful to find that forever home.

They're so thankful to find people they can really call their own and seeing people that may have been looking for months for that perfect pet fall in love at one of our adoption events. It's really the best feeling in the world," said Sara Heffern with Watermelon Mountain Ranch.

Pets and their new owners were also soothed with the musical stylings of Volcano Vista's jazz band.
